There is growing interest in the use of pharmaceutical narcotics in the community, as well as harms associated with use of these drugs. This seminar will explore both current and historical patterns of use of pharmaceutical narcotics across Queensland, with a particular focus on pharmaceutical opiates and psychostimulants. Also, an overview of the Queensland Opioid Treatment Program will be provided, including changes occurring in treatment and treatment populations over time.
