Master of Health Studies (Standard plan)
This program, which can be completed entirely by distance, aims to equip students with the insights, skills and practice models needed to respond to the challenges of complex health issues in changing social and policy contexts.

The Master of Health Studies encourages students to apply knowledge from different disciplines, and to take a co-operative and multi-sectoral approach to health and community care. Students can gain a formal qualification and enhanced skills and knowledge in areas such as:

  • Health promotion and disease prevention
  • Addressing the needs of disadvantaged groups
  • Collaborative health care
  • Evaluation in health and health services
  • Delivering health care in communities
  • Substance use and misuse

This degree is available via a 24-unit coursework/research plan or, for eligible students who have appropriate four-year undergraduate degrees, a 16-unit coursework only plan.
