Biography:
Vicki has a diverse background in both public and private hospitals, city and rural settings in Australia. She has undertaken a number of consultancies in the Pacific, including Vanuatu, Tonga and Fiji, where she has spent much of the past 4 years. Vicki has a degree in Health Information Management, and a Masters in Health Informatics and has worked as an educator for both The University of Sydney and the National Centre for Classification in Health in Australia. Vicki was previously the Manager of the Information Strategy Section at Medicare Australia. She has recently left her position as Head of the Health Care Safety and Quality Unit at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare to take up a new role at the School of Population Health at the University of Queensland as Technical Director of the Health Information Systems Knowledge Hub which is focused on improving health information systems in the Asia Pacific region. As the President of the Health Information Management Association of Australia, Vicki is also involved in many national level committees and forums related to health information and health informatics.Qualifications:
