Biography:

Eindra is one of the team members of Health Information Systems Hub, which aims to guide the establishment and/or strengthening of national health information systems in countries of the Asia-Pacific region, in order to generate evidence for national and regional health policy development, appropriate and effective service delivery and program evaluation. Prior to moving to Brisbane, Eindra looked after CARE Australia’s projects in Tsunami affected countries including Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and India. Eindra has worked with marginalised populations throughout her career. Before CARE, she worked for the World Vision Foundation of Thailand where she was responsible for technical support and monitoring and evaluation of health projects for Burmese migrants in Thailand. Eindra was born in Burma where she also received her medical degree. After finishing her medical internship, she worked as a volunteer research officer in socio-medical research regarding HIV and sexually transmitted infections in Burma.
