Biography:

Damian Hoy has worked in the field of International Public Health for the past thirteen years. He completed his undergraduate in Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 1991 and his Masters in International Public Health in 1999. He has lived and worked in Laos, East Timor, Tibet, the Caribbean, Australia, the UK and the USA. His areas of interest include: program management; quantitative research; musculoskeletal health; HIV prevention, care and support; qualitative research; health systems strengthening; health promotion/behaviour change communication; maternal and child health; and disability and development. He is employed at the School of Population Health to work on the Global Burden of Disease Study and undertake a PhD related to the global burden of low back pain.
