Biography:

Takemi Sugiyama has a PhD in Environment-Behaviour Studies from the University of Sydney. He has been working on research projects that aim to better understand environment-people relationships. As a postdoc at Sydney, he participated in a project on the measurement of the environmental quality of early childhood education facilities. He also worked on a project on older people’s health, activity and neighbourhood environments at Edinburgh College of Art. He joined the CPRC in April 2006 as a research fellow. He is currently working on several projects including the PLACE (Physical Activity in Localities and Community Environments) project.
