Biography:

After graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health) with Distinction in 1996, Coral worked as an Environmental Health Officer at Queensland Health's Tropical Public Health Unit in Cairns until 2001. During this time she obtained First Class Honours for her research into the efficacy of over-the-counter mosquito control products against the dengue vector, Aedes aegypti. Her doctoral research investigated the role of environmental exposures in the aetiology of Parkinson's disease. Coral is currently working on the NHMRC funded research project - The Future of Tobacco Control, which aims to assess the feasibility and political acceptability of new tobacco control initiatives.
