Maxine Whittaker advises on swine flu
Friday, 15 May 2009SPH’s Professor Maxine Whittaker, director of the Australian Centre for International and Tropical Health (ACITH) has been interviewed by media over the past week on the implications of a swine flu pandemic in Australia. Professor Whittaker said that if a pandemic did hit, absenteeism from work may reach 40 per cent while schools would need to be shut.
