PacMISC launch website on World Malaria Day, 25 April 2009

The Pacific Malaria Initiative Support Centre (PacMISC) officially launches the PacMISC.net website on World Malaria day 2009. The site offers a mix of malaria related news from user submitted items to articles gathered from various scientific and media sources including malariajournal.com and sciencedaily.com. The web site also offers a searchable list of scientific references relevant to the eradication of malaria in the South Pacific, and research results from data collected by the malaria initiative project (coming soon).

Additionally, PacMISC staff, Stacey Pitman and Georgina Dove, developed an informational media resource to raise awareness among University of Queensland medical students of malaria issues in the South.
